Cons
- •User interface is cluttered with ads and pushy sign-up requests that detract from the viewing experience
- •Default picture settings (AI enhancements, motion smoothing, and color) need to be manually disabled for optimal quality
- •Remote lacks dedicated streaming app buttons (Hulu, HBO Max), requiring extra steps to launch these services
- •Fire TV OS bloatware can be frustrating until you disconnect from the internet and use third-party streaming
Bottom Line
The Hisense U6 Series 85" is a genuinely impressive TV that delivers exceptional picture and sound quality at a price point that undercuts most competitors—reviewers consistently praised its mini-LED contrast, 1000-nit brightness, and gaming performance with the PS5. However, be prepared to spend some time tweaking settings out of the box and dealing with Fire TV's ad-laden interface; disconnecting from the internet or using external streaming devices will significantly improve your experience. If you're a gamer or want premium HDR performance on a budget, this is a solid choice, but those who value a clean, ad-free interface might want to explore alternatives.
